Is A Bump On The Head Caused By An Injury A Matter Of Concern?

A few weeks ago I had influenza. I was throwing up for a day and had to stay home instead of going to work. I woke up the next morning to get water because I was very dehydrated and I became dizzy while walking to the bathroom. All of a sudden I fell, I don t remember what I hit but it was either the toilet, the doorknob or the tiled floor. I woke up a little later and had a screaming head ache and a huge bump on my head. I have had this bump for two weeks and a brise for one week. Though it has became smaller there is still a bump and pain when touching it. Should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is just a hematoma.

Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.

You can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
