Is A Combination Therapy Must For Gonorrhea And What Treatment Should I Follow?
Hey, I was just tested for a few STIs and they have found gonorrhea in swab from the urethra (routine). I am a guy. My Chlamydia report is due in another two days. I have burning sensation while urinating and a little bit of white discharge in the mornings. I had sex (protected) a few days back. I did not indulge in oral sex. What kind of treatment should I follow? I live in India. I understand certain strands of the bacteria are resistant to some antibiotics. Is a combination therapy must? If you get me the generic names, that would be helpful. Also, should I follow the same for my wife as I do not want her to face the consequences of my folly. Please advise...Siddharth

I have gone through your history as you are having STI like gonorrhea which was confirmed by the lab test.
You and your partner should take
Injectable XXXX in combination with Tab XXXX 500mg on day 1, followed by 1 tab (250mg) once a day for 4 more days.
It's important not to have unprotected vaginal, oral or anal sex until treatment is completed & the infection has cleared up.
