Is A Dark Large Mole On Left Buttock A Cause For Concern?
I have a really dark large(black) mole on my butt (left cheek) and have had this for years now.It doesn't bother me and it's raised somewhat but at the same time its flat.My medical doctor wants to "slice" it off but I'm afraid to let her. It's not a "skin" tag mole it's more imbeaded in my skin. Help!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dark large mole on left buttock. Well a common mole is a growth on the skin that develops when pigment cells grow in clusters , common mole rarely turns into melanoma, which is the most serious type of skin cancer. Although common moles are not cancerous . Consult dermatologist if color changes , mole gets unevenly smaller or bigger , mole changes in shape, texture, or height , becomes dry or scaly , starts to itch or bleeds. For now apply cold compresses to it and maintain proper hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
