Is A Doctor Consultation Advisable For Fever, Chills And Headache?
My son 14 started with fe ver and chilles last night. Today he fas had fever, chills and a headache. I grave him(2) 500 mg acetaminophen for The fever. It subsided and returned again in about 5 hrs. I waited and after 6 hrs gave him 2 more. I feel concerned at the dame time it could be The flu....... Should i take him to The doctor
hello, i can understand your concern. fever, chills and headaches do indicate flu. if the temp is more than 102f, he feels lethargic and dull, has breathing problem take him to a doctor. flu usually goes in couple of days with rest and paracetamol. give him plenty of fluids to drink. if you live in a area where malaria is common, kindly get a malaria test done too. hope i have answered your query wishing your son a speedy recovery.
