Is A Fetal Heartbeat Not Found At 5 Weeks And 5 Days Of Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
Hi.. I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant as per u/s but the gestational age is 7 weeks 1 days The ultrasound did not show fetal cardiac activity CRL is 2.1mm as per u/s age There is an embryo and faint yolk Sac in gestational sac. There is a single gestational sac It is early intrauterine pregnancy I have been on messenger to get regular periods and ovulation. I have PCOD Pls advise as I am really worried on heartbeat not being g found Is I too early for a scan
Sometimes there can be a discrepancy between gestational age by dates and by scan.
CRL of 2.1 mm and pregnancy corresponding to 5+5 weeks is not a matter of concern. Scan has to be repeated after 2 weeks to see if there was increase in CRL and for appearance of cardiac activity.
Report to hospital if any pain in the abdomen or bleeding.
