Is A Heavy Period With Dark And Clotted Blood Discharge A Concern?

Hi, I have had very irregular periods since stopping birth control awhile back, yesterday I started mine for the first time since November in which I had two periods that month. My period blood is very dark, clotted and painful. I have noticed that it is painful to insert and remove a tampon as well as the heavy blood and clots. Does this sound like anything serious?

you are having hormonal imbalance and other things are normal if you want to start oral contraceptive and take it regularly on withdrawal there willmbe bleeding and it may balance the hormone. during period the vaginal walls are inflamed and so inserting tampoon may be little painful. it will be normal soon.
