Is A Large Bruise With A Bump On Forehead Post A Fall A Cause For Concern?

my 2 year old fell today in a store on the corner of a metal display. He was calmed within 5 minutes. Left a big bruise and a goose egg on his forehead. I put ice on it and he seems to be acting normally. Should i have him checked or do you think he is okay. He hit with all his weight. 37 lbs. the goose egg is the size of a chicken egg and very bruised. Otherwise, he is playing and seems fine. A little tired but that is normal.
