Is A Large Itchy Bump On The Hand A Sign Of Shingles?

I have an itchy bump on my arm, The redness and heat around it is about 5 inches now and the main bump is probably about an inch wide. it is very warm and very uncomfortable, I try my best not to scratch it, but when i do, it stings really bad. It seems that there is one starting to form on my hip. I am worried I might be breaking out with shingles again, although I ve heard it rarely comes up twice.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having either allergic dermatitis or furuncles.
My treatment advice is -
1. It is not shingles as it occurs only once in life.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
