Is A Left Renal Cyst Measuring 11mm A Cause For Concern?

I had a Ventral Hernia and a 12 x12 inch mesh inserted. Due to previous exploratory surgery. I have a recurrence. Diastasis of rectus muscle extending from the xiphoid process inferiorly to the level of the umbilicus. It measure app. 9cm at its greatest width more superiorly. Focal ventral hernia containing only a knuckle of transverse colon is seen superiorly. No obstruction. Will this require any surgery? Also a left renal cyst measuring 11mm. Is this anything to be concerned about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Renal cyst will need to be monitored. It must be benign as it graded 1 to 5 based on USG, it needs to be followed annually by USG. Regarding the hernia, it may need a surgery but that too will be not without risks as there will be adhesions. Visit some nearby doctor and not online as examination is must in your case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
