Is A Low Ferritin Count A Cause For Concern After Hysterectomy?

I had an iron infusion in March 2014 prior to a hysterectomy because my iron levels were so low. My ferritin was 6 before infusion. After the infusion my levels have been climbing: Nov 2014 ferritin was 115, July 2015 ferritin was 133. Just had my iron panel done and my ferritin is now 173! My hematologist doesn t seem concerned and wrote good on my labwork she mailed me. This is same dr who was concerned last year that my SED rate was very high indicating inflammation. Should I give blood to see if I can get ferritin down? My other iron labs are not high -saturation is only 27% and TIBC was 302 and total iron was 83.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the haematologist is not worried about the test result then it is better you be cool, in my opinion in such cases clinical symptoms are matter of concern and in absence of this no need to worry about this hope this information helps.
