Is A Lump In The Back Of Throat Behind The Uvula Suggestive Of Cancer?

I read the persons issue below about the lump in the back of the throat behind the uvula and mine is very similar, but I have been to many Dr. As of late and no results. To add, an arthritis doctor I went to recently said I don t have arthritis but the sinus doctor I went to after the arthritis doctor said that my lump is arthritis, I am confused. He said he has tested for cancer in these situations and has learned the hard way that it is arthritis. Mine feels like a ganglion cyst! Could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should do a total blood count with formula and also do the cytopunction of the lymph node or cyst. The citology of the cyst will show its origin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
