Is A Negative ELISA HIV Test Report 2 Years After Exposure Conclusive?
I have done elisa test in 3month and 6 month after the sexual exposure all my result are negative After 2 years I have done 4th generation elisa testing for HIV after 2 years of Protected sexual exposure and result is non reactive (Both p24 & Antibodies Negative). Last month i have done western blot and got negative with 0 bands. 1.I am type 1 diabetic for past 12 years and is there any chance this will affect my elisa test & western blot test. Due to Low IGG & IGM. 2.If a body fails to produce the antibody against HIV after 2 years of sexual exposure, p24 antigen will be high. Is this true?
Western blot test is a confirmatory test for HIV and after one or two weeks it rules out HIV conclusively. Fourth generation ELISA detect antigen as well antibody. So, you have investigated with best tests and after two years you don't have to worry regarding HIV. Diabetes does not affect these test result. So don't worry about HIV.
