Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is A Nodule On The Thyroid Gland A Cause For Concern?
I have had a sonagram. It showed a nodule on my thyroid for the first time since taking Synthroids in 1986. I have an appointment with an Endochrinologist late in May. My arms and legs are often jittery for the last few weeks. My Primary Care Dr. doesn t seem to think this is a problem right now. What do you think?
Most probably it can be a benign (non-cancerous) nodule without much clinical significance. However, you can consult a general surgeon plan for a biopsy to make a diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
