Is A Red And Itchy Lump A Matter Of Concern?

hi, my husband pulled a small tick w a white dot on its back out on Friday or Saturday of last wknd. On Sunday afternoon it started to burn. by Monday am it was swollen w/ pus and a clearish blister. My sister n law squeezed it out, shes a nurse. since then there is no longer blistering or pus but it is red and itchy. do you feel i need to have it checked out or do this sound normal? thanks, Kelli

Hello,
Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com,
It is not that much concern, during healing time there is redness or itching, if you have done with properly without contaminating the wound there is no need to worry.
If it starts spreading he needs to take antibiotics for at least 3-5 days.
As you have done it now yourself with some paramedics help now there is no need to panic.
Hope it will help you.
Regards.........
