Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern.
In your problem description you didn’t mentioned if you are a smoker, this is important to know for the result of CEA, because the normal range value are higher in smoker (0-5mcg/l) than the no smoker (0-2.5mcg/l).The other condition that can increase the CEA level except the cancer are: cirrhosis and
gallbladder inflammation; inflammatory bowel diseases; stomach ulcer; pancreatitis;
lung infection. For this I recommend you to do other examination to determine the cause of higher CEA value and for this you should consult with your doctor.
The high value
cholesterol is linked in with the diet, smoking, lack of physical activity and with
overweight. Avoiding a heavy smoking, choosing a healthy diet with low
saturated fat, lose weight and do minimally 30 minutes of brisk walking every day can decrease the cholesterol blood value if not you should take medicine to decrease it.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Kind regard,
Dr .Marsida Janko
