Is A Small Hard Knot On The Elbow A Concern?

I have a small hard dime sized knot that has come up on my elbow. During the past week, my elbow was slightly swelled and very warm to the touch. When I rest my arm it is very uncomfortable. It feels as if my arm is laying on a small rock. Is this something to be alarmed about, or will it eventually go away?

From the looks of it, it won't go away.

Lipomas have similar presentation but they are largely painless.
Kindly visit a doctor as soon as possible.
