Is A Small Lump On The Ear Canal A Cause For Concern?

Upon looking in my ear with an otoscope, my husband saw a pearl like object in my ear canal. It does not appear to be attached to the ear drum. It is not causing me any discomfort, but I am concerned. I have a picture, but I cannot get it to post here.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to have your ear assessed by your doctor to determine if a lesion is present.

Your doctor would be able to determine if there is any abnormality present.

The tympanic membrane/ear drum is a translucent and may look abnormal to some or there may a mass present, this would need to be determined.

I hope this helps
