Is A Small, White, Round Lump On The Inside Of Tooth Extracted Area A Cause For Concern?

Hi, I had my wisdom teeth extracted 72 hours ago. I am on antibiotics, not a lot of pain. I have been vomiting this morning and have a small round white lump on the inside of my cheek where one tooth was extracted, as I am a smoker I am worrying about infection and dry rot. I was wondering if this is something I should be worried about? I m waiting for my dentist to call me back, but want as many opinions as I can get :) Thank you for your time :)

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain the small white lump on inside of cheek where your tooth was extracted may just be a "Traumatic Ulcer" due to either injury or trauma caused during the extraction procedure..

If there is any pain or discomfort you can apply anesthetic gel like mucopain gel to avoid discomfort..
If it is a traumatic ulcer it will heal up in three to four days..

Vomiting could have been due to indigestion or stomach upset caused by antibiotics many a times..

If the lump does not heal in three to four days or if there is increased size and discomfort you should consult your dentist again for a clinical evaluation of the exact cause of the lump..

If the vomiting and stomach discomfort happens again you can consult your dentist to change the medicines although mild symptoms are settled down once medicine is discontinued

Hope you get well soon..

Thanks and regards..
