Is A Splash Of Hot Oil In One Eye A Cause For Concern?
Hi I work in a kitchen and earlier today i happened to splash hot oil from a deep fryer in one of my eyes. I don t have any loss of vision but i have had a slight headache ever since it happened i was wondering if i should go to the ER to have it looked at or not?
I can understand your concern. As far as your vision is fine and you are not experiencing any pain, discomfort or burning in the eye, you are fine and do not need to go to emergency room.
Headache might be just a co-incidental thing and can be managed by over the counter painkiller like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.
If you develop any symptoms in eye itself, then you should visit emergency room or an opthalmologist.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
