Is A Spot On The Liver Due To Excessive Smoking Of Marijuana?

My wife is 49 fairly healthy by my opinion . Up to 1 yr ago she exercised regularly. She had a stretch where she occasionally abused achohol but for the most part she would have a drink ( beer or wine ) maybe once every 2 weeks . 4 beers or 1/2 bottle of wine. My biggest concern is that she smoke weed for 30yrs. Just for the record she has been an awesome mother , she raised a nurse in labor and delivery and a mechanical engineer . She was diagnosed with kidney stones and through CT also a spot on her liver was discovered. Could have the use of weed for 30yrs possibly be responsible for the spot on her liver ?

Hello,

Maybe if it is benign. Maybe if she has hepatitis B from some other cause since it can be transmitted by small amounts of blood or sexually transmitted.

BUT, if cannabis were to cause liver cancer, there would be a very large amount of it and there just isn't.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
