General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the consult.

Brief answer,
I suggest you to wait till 2-3weeks to pass the stone through urine.

Detailed explanation,
1. I read your query and I am happy to help you. You mentioned that you have stone 4.55mm at Ureterovesicle junction (UVJ).
2. Your doctor suggested you to wait for 5 days and prescribed medicines.
3. If size in between 4-6mm it may take 2-3weeks to pass the stone through urine.
4. Drink more amount of water. Milk products should be drastically reduced by intake.
5. Pain persistent then Inj. tramadol 1cc infusion is needed.
6. Better to take KUB scan after 14days to see the existence and size of stone. If persistent and size increases then lesser chance of stone to fall in urine. In this case surgery is needed. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) Surgery is needed.

Hope this information helps you.
