Is A Swelling In The Groin Area Suggestive Of STD

hi I have a question about a possible sexually transmitted disease . A guy I hooked up with called me today and told me he has swelling in his groin lymph area and has a strange blister. I show no symptoms whatsoever. Should I be worried? and what sti would cause these symptoms ?

Yes, there is a chance for sexually transmitted infection as per your description. Mostly syphillis causes such type of painless blisters. If you were my patient I advise you to have a VDRL test done to rule out syphillis. Both the partners need this test and if positive both need to be treated.
