Is Abdominal Pain After Protected Sex Suggestive Of Pregnancy?

Hello, I had protected sex about a week and a half ago and was supposed to get my period around the 4th of this month (so like 4 days ago). I have light abdominal pain and feel a little bloated but no other sides besides that. I m also very VERY stressed about being pregnant. Should I go ahead and take a test?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Fear or stress of pregnancy is a common reason for delayed periods. If you have protected sex then there nil chances of pregnancy. Stress can lead to imbalance in sex hormones and other body hormones which could be the cause of abdominal pain and bloating. So don't have to worry about pregnancy. Try some relaxation exercises like yoga and meditation. Have healthy high fiber fresh diet. Avoid oily food and fast food items. For your mental relaxation you can go for pregnancy test by using urinary pregnancy testing kits available in the market.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.
Thank you.
