Is Abdominal Pain On The Right Side A Symptom Of Liver Cancer?

Hey My eyes have been yellow ever since i had a jaundice episode about 10-11 years ago, however other than the yellow eyes i have never had any issues. Lately for the last 2-3 weeks i have been having upset stomach and i have lost about 6 KG weight in last 2 months, i have been exercising (till 3 weeks back) and have been following diet so dont know if that is the cause of weight loss. I had pain in my right side of abdomen yesterday. Are these symptoms of liver caner (or any cancer) or can this be something less complex. I am really scared as all my web searches seam like I have liver cancer. I am a 29 year old male, my current weight is about 89-90Kg, i was 96 Kg on 26th Jan this year. Let me know please.

Hello,

Have you ever had viral infection or any blood transfusion? Right-sided pain is not indicative of liver cancer. There are other possibilities also like appendicitis, cholecystitis and hepatitis which can cause pain and jaundice.

There may be internal enzyme deficiencies which can cause jaundice like Dubin-Johnson syndrome, Rotor syndrome, Gilbert-Meulengracht's syndrome and Crigler–Najjar syndrome. Just do a work up for evaluation. Don't worry. Your weight loss may be due to excessive indigestion.
