Hi I have crohns disease for 40 years and have had a bowel resection in 2013.Everything is in check except. When I sit for long periods of time I have suffer from intense pain in my lower left side front and back. I get relief when I stand or move. I am having trouble sleeping because I have to lay on my back it is to painful to lay on either side. I have had a scan and found that my scar tissue on my sigmoid is thick, but that is something I have had for years. This problem about sitting to long is not new but usuallyt passed in a day or so, my last bout lasted 3 weeks than just disappears. Again I have been suffering for the last week after starting a sit down job. Muscle relaxants helped the back part but my lower stomach is stiff very painful. My blood work looks good. Im worried and frustrated. Rosemary

Is Abdomnial Pain A Symptom Of Crohn S?
Hell, * The abdomen pain with exacerbation during sitting position is not in relation with Crohn`s disease. * In my clinic, I do recommend an MRI evaluation for further best possible guidelines ahead. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
