Is Abnormal Movement Of The Eyes Related To Febrile Seizures?
My 7 year old son started opening his eyes wide for a moment and then looking to the right. We initially thought it was something in his eye, which we did find what might have been a piece of hair wrapped his eye mucous but since then, it has continued randomly. For background, he has allergies, ASD level 1 and has a history of 2 febrile seizures at the age of 3 and 5. I am concerned because of the sudden onset. He is acting normal and playing
Suggestive of childhood seizure. To rule out absence seizure. Based on the history, given your son seems to be suffering seizure which could be due to recurrent seizure as he had two episodes of febrile seizure at the age of 3 and 5. He needs to be evaluated by a pediatrician/neurologist and to rule out absence seizure by doing EEG (Electroencephalogram) and other tests.
