Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been donating plasma for about a year now. And back in December they said that my protein level was abnormal. They since did two more SPE blood draws and they came back abnormal. Later telling me one of my proteins was out of range. And they were to give me a paper to take to my local doctor. What are my potential medical concerns with this?
hi thank you for asking previously if you are donating the plas ma means you health is in good condition coming ti the present condition, if a patient comes to my clinic like this i will see what protein whether albumin or globulin. the worrying part is globulin protein high range, it will increase in infections as acute phase reactant and in that conditions globulin protein will come to normal range after subsiding infection. but in multiple myeloma condition has to be treated with specialist, after confirming the diagnosis with the electrophoresis test.If fibrinogen protein is high then you should be tested for coagulation studies. come back for any queries. thank you
