Is Accidental Intake Of Vicks By A Toddler A Cause For Concern?

My 2 year old about 25 pounds just accidentally ingested about 5 mls of vicks vapo steam (the liquid stuff for humidifiers). We called poison control & they said just to keep an eye on her & get her to drink water & eat some toast. Should I take her to emergency? Thanks.

hi, since the amount ingested is small,it is unlikely to be harmful.you may keep him in observation and look for any vomiting or breathlessness.if there are no symptoms after 24 hrs he should be fine. all the best.
