Is Acid Reflux Associated With Dry Mouth?

I have acid reflux. Sometimes it feels like food won t down and hurts to swollow. For over a year my tounge has been sensitive, feels like you had burned it from drinking something hot. For a couple months my lips burn, very dry and sometimes peal and swollen like a red ring around them. With my lips my doctor thought it was an allergy. I m wondering it it is all tied together with the acid reflux. I don t like to take time for the doctors so I m always trying to self remedy. Any sugestions?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Yes, it is possible for acid reflux to cause such symptoms as well. Allergy, acid reflux and asthma are conditions which very often appear together. Moreover, constant mouth irritation by stomach acid can give described by you problems.
It is also possible that your dry mouth and skin problems are caused by fungal infection or vitamins malabsorbtion. I suggest you to consult dermatologist with this problem.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
