Husband in alzheimers care home had to have a TB clearance before moving to another facility. We had an Xray done which came back with a conclusion of left upper airspace disease. He was started on levaquin and a repeat xray to be done in three weeks. He has no symptoms, is eating well and there has been no change is his appearance before this xray. Is he contagious? Is it really pneumonia.
The air space disease a bronchial inflammation of the lung tissue with some sort of bacteria in most of the instances. As opposite to tuberculosis , it is not contagious and is curable completely with antibiotics and supportive medications. Do take proper care of him for his faster recovery and health.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
