Is Air Travel Safe Post A Appendectomy?
Good day Doctor. I had a laparoscopic addendectomy on Nov 1st. No complications. Due to fly from Connecticut to Florida this coming Saturday. (11 days after the surgery) . Iam 62 yrs old, female and in good health. Would you advise against it ? Concerned with DVT s. Would appreciate your expertise.

Elaboration: I would have considered your concern about DVT only if you have had history of DVT or limb immobility due to operations/ disease.
In my opinion its absolutely safe to travel by air after 10 days of abdominal surgery.
So don't worry.
