Is Akurit Sufficient To Treat Exudative Tuberculosis?
Hello, I am 20 year old boy suffering from exudate tuberculosis and my doctor advised me to take akurit 4 three medicines on a daily basis for two weeks. Is the treatment fine ? Its been one week and i did not find any change in the problem .. Please advise
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist first. Because treatment of tuberculosis is for atleast 6 months. Not for 2 weeks. And recovery in tuberculosis is slow as treatment duration is for 6 months. You can expect recovery after 1 month of appropriate treatment. So I advice you to first confirm properly that you are having tuberculosis and you are receiving correct drugs in proper dose. So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. Better to get done Sputum AFB culture and sensitivity to rule out drug resistant TB in your case. So consult pulmonologist and start appropriate treatment.
