Is Albendazole Safe To Intake During Radiotherapy?
Hello.
I am taking albendazole for cisticercosis treatment and I just started to receive external radiotherapy for prostate cancer. Should I stop takaing the albendazole? My concern is that interrupting the parasite treatment could leave me suffering two bad health conditions at the same time. Thank you very much for your help.

Thanks for your question on HCM. Yes, you can take albendazole with radiotherapy. No harm in it. Albendazole is not photo reactive drug or it has nothing to do with radiation. So continue this with radiotherapy. I advice not to take albendazole on empty stomach. As it is having severe gastritis as side effect. So take it after meals.
