Is Alcohol Consumption Advisable While On PMS Medication?
I,m on pms meteor in 500 mg.I take one half tablet twice daily. Is it all right if I have a couple of drinks on Friday and sat night(alcoholic) if so what will happen? What if I don,t take the pill on the day I choose to have a drink. It,s kind of hard not to have a drink when you go to special occasions. ThanksWill be waiting for your answer.
It is not advisable to consume alcohol while on PMS medications. Drinking alcohol while on PMS medications may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, impaired thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. If you skip taking the pills and consume alcohol then you might suffer from abdominal pain, vomiting, stomach upset, sore breasts, cramps and headache.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
