Is Alcohol Consumption Safe When Bilirubin Levels Are High?

I recently had a hepatic liver panel done, and all was wnl, except my bilirubin went from 0.5 to 1.3 in 6 wks. I was being checked as my dr put me on 145 mg of tricor for my high triglycerides. They have been elevated for the past 5 years and after omega supplements not working, I decided to try the tricor. This made me extremely I ll, severe muscle pain, nausea and HAs, back pain. I could only take it 13 days and had to stop. My triglycerides improved from 738 to 298 and cholesterol 243 to 183. So just the 2 wks seemed to help, and I m now accepting this familial thing as I had these numbers when I ran a half marathon. I recently switched docs and will get in next wk, but would like to know if it is safe for me to have a glass of wine or a drink with my bilirubin jumping like it did? I do not smoke and rarely drink. I had 2 glasses of wine mar 1 for special occasion, and time before that was new years.......so just concerned for my liver if I want to have a glass of wine sometime. Thanks Shannon
