Is Alcohol Consumption Safe When Suffering From Elevated Liver Enzymes?

My GGT was 113 and ALT 72. I have been a heavy drinker for 10 years (Now 32 years old). Do I have to quit drinking altogether to avoid further liver disease or is it possible to continue drinking 3 beers a night which I do now instead of the 10+ I used to. Is this GGT and ALT level dangerous?

Thank you for posting query at HCM

Alcohol is toxic to liver (mitochondria).
it should be avoided and strictly avoided if liver enzymes are elevated (hepatitis).
further evaluation.
is hep A, B C viral serology Negative??
do a lipid profile test and and an "abdominal ultrasound".
are you using any medication that maybe toxic to liver?

if all above results negative then
advice:
abstinence from "Alcohol and drugs"
- LOW fat diet should be followed
- NO red meat
- vegetables should be ingested daily
- Moreover, less activity should be carried out (no sports).
- use lemon juice (lemonade) once in a day
- walk 30 to 40 minutes everyday.
- or swimming is alternative to walking
- NO sports and NO jogging
-"recheck liver enzymes after 6 to 8 weeks".

wish you good health.
