Is Alcohol Consumption Safe While Suffering From Food Poisoning?

Had food poisoning for about two days now. I only threw up once the night I first noticed symptoms but I ve had liquid stool and stomach uncomfortability until now though the symptoms have greatly weakened. My question is how safe is it for me to drink a beer or two tonight??? Nothing crazy. Just wanted to enjoy a couple beers for a musical outing.

Hi,

Alcohol might cause you to have stomach pains and also worsen the diarrhea and the nausea so it might make the symptoms you are experiencing worse so I would advice you to avoid using alcoholic drinks.

Maybe you can try non-alcoholic beer to give you the feeling you are taking some drinks but has less chance to cause you symptoms or make you worse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
