Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have been to my doctor yesterday and he said that I have the flu. I’m taking tamiflu. I haven’t coughed up any mucous (though I have had a very dry, rough, harsh cough for 4 days). Today I finally coughed up some mucous but there was streaks of blood in it. Mostly clear mucous with a little blood. Should I go to the ER?
Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. If it was a little blood and stopped you don't have to worry about it. Sometimes pneumonie and bronchitis give haemoptysis. If it continues in large amount go to ER . Take care. Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help you. Best regards. Dr Olgeta Xhufka ( general and family physician ).
