Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) are Masters in Social Work required and also have supervised experience in this field. during their 6 years of college/university, clinical coursework in Social Work they learn guidance, counseling, psychotherapy, Human Services, Psychology, others, and extensive practicum experience including counseling/therapy required. Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment are part of the curriculum. They are not as expert as Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
