Is An Expedition Advisable For An Anemic Woman?

I had a laparospic total hysterectomy on May 4th. All in all the surgery went extremely well. Still feel twinges in my belly button area. Because of the heavy bleeding my hb levels was at a 4.8. Received 4 blood transfusions. 4 months post surgery can I go to amusement parks ? I ve been very careful, and my anemia has gotten a bit better. So can I go?

Hello.

A hemoglobin level of 4.8 is quite low and 4 blood transfusions may raise it at most to 9 or 10.

Though laparoscopic surgical site and internal healing will have occurred by now, you may experience giddiness or even faint on some of the rides.

You may go to the amusement park, but I suggest you to be careful and not ride the more heavier rides.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr Geeta
