Is An Extra Dosage Of Cipro Harmful?

Accidentally took two doses of Cipro. Am on two different antibiotics and took a second dose of one twice, (got the pill bottles confused.) The other is metronidazole Should I take the other so it does not stop working on my system? Or should I wait and just resume a normal schedule tomorrow? This is to treat a recent diagnosis of diverticulitis.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to continue your normal schedule. The extra dose taken accidentally should not cause any excess harm.

I hope this helps
