Is An Extra Dosage Of Ketorolac Advisable For Chronic Pain?
Hi, my so had an accident last year and he went thru therapy and got addicted to the Hydrocodone after almost a year now he is in suboxone treatment to detox. now he has severe kidney stone pain and they precscribed ketorolac 10ml but still he has the pain. can he take more than the prescribe? also is Ketorolac and opiate? in the hospital they put him morphine for pain.
Ketorolac is Torodol, an NSAIDS which is not advisable to be given more than the prescribed dose because it will cause kidney damage, breathing problems, drowsiness, etc.
You are suggested to get your son clinically examined by a GP/Surgeon. Get all blood workouts & Imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected (medicines, lithotripsy or surgery). Get him treated at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
