Is An Extra Growth Between The Vagina And Anus A Concern?
hello doctor. i have a small piece of meat between my vagina and anus. its been there for years now and never caused any pain or discomfort. i wish to know if it must be tested. i do have a very severe case of polycystic ovarian syndrome. if that is relevant in any way. it seems like a flap of sorts but is slightly rounded at the bottom. please advise me on what i should do about this. thanks
You should consider seeing a general surgeon re the lesion that you noticed. He or she would be able to assess and remove for you (if this is necessary).
It would not play a role in your PCOS however. PCOS is managed by weight loss through diet/activity also with the use of medication to either regularize the periods or induce ovulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
