I was diagnosed with shingles in November and was on medication for a week. I thought the rash was going away but the past week I have been itchy in the same area (neck) and noticed I have more of a rash. Does that mean I still I have the shingles in my system?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Shingles doesn't go away from the system. Recurrent bouts of shingles are often associated with immune system problems that occur with aging or as a result of a medical condition. I suggest using antihistamines medications such as Cetirizine to relieve the itching. I also suggest using Acyclovir cream for local application at the rash area.
