My fathers age is 61 years height is 5 feet 4 inches and wight is 70 kgs and has blood sugar level around 240-250 and take medicines to control blood sugar since 1983. He had a chest pain in the year 2007 but now he is alright and has no problems regarding day to day life. Doctor has suggested that he should have angiography done when he had a check up done in the year 2007 but was ignored by us. what is your suggestion on this?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.
With him having chest pain in 2007, angiography was a necessary and important test to make sure he had no problems with his hearts blood vessels as chest pain could be suggestive of a heart attack. However, it is not a routine test for diabetics. Because he has no chest pain now, it is not necessary any more.
