Is Angioplasty Advisable When Having 80%blockage In Artery?
Hi, my dad is 59. He has a healthy lifestyle and does 30 minutes of walking daily. Off lately he started feeling breathlessness while climbing stairs or brisk walking. We went for an angiography on family doctors suggestion. The reports show 3 blockages. Left main artery 80%, 70% and 50%. I want to know if angioplasty should be done or bypass? He I diabetic with 10 years of diabeties history but is nor on insulin.
Three blockages are significant. You can go with angioplasty. There is no need of bypass surgery. Still you have to take the opinion of cardiologist once. Get treated as soon as you can.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
