Our daughter just received 4 stitches in her foot after stepping on a stick. They also gave her a tetanus shot. They also prescribed two kinds of antibiotics. The question is can we get by without the antibiotics if we keep the wound clean and use antibiotic cream? She is finishing a 2 1/2 month regime of medicines to heal a lack of bacteria in her intestines and the antibiotics would ruin it.
