Is Anxiety The Reason For Having Chest Pain?

my husband is 43yrs old and has been experiencing pain in his chest in between the breastbone he hsd sn EKG and his oxygen checked 4 dys ago they said it was fine and must be anxiety. He is still feeling this way and real tired. Does it sound like anxiety?

Chest pain caused to your husband can be due to several causes like Gastritis,Pleuritis,Gestro esophageal reflux,Angina,etc.We need to rule out these conditions first before moving to the proper treatment.

I will advice you certain investigations :
Chest Xray
Routine Blood Examination
S.Amylase and Lipase.

For relief of symptoms i will advice you following:
Antacids or Proton Pump Inhibitors
Analgesics.
Avoid Spicy food
Avoid heavy work
Stop Drinking Alcohol and Smoking if he takes.
Consult your doctor immediately incase new symptoms develop or pain doesn't subside.
