Is Anything Serious In 5 Year Old Vomiting, Diarrhea, Pain In Chest, Passes Gas?

My 5 year old woke up two nights ago @ 1am vomitting. No vomit since that night and was only that one time. Has had diarrah all day today. Went to bed @ 9:00pm woke up @ 10:30pm with pains in his right upper belly (by his chest). Also he says his tummy hurts and a few minutes later he will pass gas. Could it just be gas pains or something more serious.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
Your history suggests that it may be gastroenteritis.
It is not a very serious condition and will pass off within 4-5 days.
I would prefer to give my patient Cyclopam syrup for control of pain abdomen and Ondem syrup for vomiting,
Curd rice or rice with buttermilk is a good substitute for diet.
Still if dirrhoea persists consult pediatrician.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
