Is Arthritis, Related With Numb Shoulders And Swollen Fingers?
I am havving problems with my arms going num from my shoulders down to my fingers. My fingers and arms them start to hurt and swell. As I am typing now, my finger are tingling. I had my heart check and also they checked for blood clots in my arms, every thing checked out fine. Could this be Arthritis?
Hello, Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from numbness in both your shoulders down to fingers. It may be due to cervical spondylosis. It can be confirmed by x-rays. MRI of spine rule out other causes. Neck exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate, neurotropics such as methycobalamin and analgesics such as ibuprofen give relief. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency and vitamin B-12 deficiency can be cause of this so serum vitamin D and vitamin B-12 test is advised if these are low than vitamin D and B-12 supplementation will be required. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
